2006年10月31日 HP(へたれポイント)
Sunny, warm.
It was so warm today, as if the God make it like that so everyone can enjoy Halloween. If he did so, however, I have to curse him. My working place was soooooo busy today because it is right next to the parade. It was completely full all the time with costumed customers. The number of the workers, HOWEVER, was same as usual day, so I had to work five times harder.
What made it even busier was the children, they continuely came into the restaurant and trick-or-treated to me. They do not care if I am busy like crazy. Even if I was running with trays in both hands, they would pull my shirt and ask "Hey, are you trick-or-treating?" Yeah, some of them did not say "Trick or Treat!" but "Are you trick-or-treating?" Hmm, today’s children.
I was panicked, but they were too cute to ignore. I stopped waitering and gave them some candy every single time, making myself cornerd. I love this event, I wish I had got to do this in my childhood. It is more fun than Bon or Setsubun in Japan, I guess.
Children stopped comming around ten, but customer kept comming forever. I cannot leave the restaurant on time. It was funny that we were busy like crazy, but we were costumed, which made us look not so struggling.
I left there at two. I found a cheap cheap mask in the restaurant, so I went back home in the mask. I didn’t know her, but looked like it was some famous girl. Many people laughed looking at me.
Hard day, but it was worth it, though. I made SOME money.
