9月5日 世間知らずクッキーを温める。
2006年9月5日 HP(へたれポイント)Rain.
There are only two days left in the summer vacation. I’ve done nothing special this summer. Went to fringe festival and traveled around North East, that’s it. I even didn’t go to the sea! After that terrible hot weather, abruptly it got chilly and never got back to hot, so I missed the chance. I am not ready to give up yet, though. I am lying in wait for the hot weather in swimsuits.
It was raining today, so I decided not to go to BDC today, and I just stayed in my house. Basically, I don’t like being in my room all the day, because then I feel like I am the only one doing nothing in the world. So I went out of my room eventually, and decided to study in the kitchen, which is actually in better environment than my room to study.
Actually it was nice, you know, to study at the table in the kitchen, looking the rain in the backyard out of the window. After a while, I made some coffee. It is kinda cool to have coffee in the house on a rainy day, isn’t it? The coffee is ready, now I need something sweet, of course. Oh yes, I suddenly remembered of the cookies I got in Subway yesterday.
The sandwich chain Subway has this meal with a sandwich, drink, and snack. Yesterday I had it and I got two cookies instead of the chips, but I didn’t wanna eat it at that time, so I just brought it back home. That’s perfect, now I have the coffee and the cookies. I got it out of my bag, and put onto a dish.
In this country, the cookies have the tendency to be too soft for me. To me, it is just soggy, so I wanted to make it crisp. I remembered once my roommate Kenji recrisped Oreo, warming it in the oven, so I just followed it. I put the cookies on the wire rack in the oven and started it up.
Five minute later it started to smell something burnt. I felt a sense of panic, and I straightly to the oven and opened it. Turned out the cookies were so soft that they dropped down from through the wire rack onto the bottom of the oven and were burning now.
The kitchen got smoky soon enough. I was afraid of the alarm, so I immediately opened all the windows and doors. Any second, Kenji went out of his room and asked me what was going on. I told him what I did. He was amazed hearing that I didn’t use any foil on the rack. I hate stupid soft cookies of this country.
When Indy came back, he laughed at me first, and got mad, because his room smelled like burned cookie. Then I laughed about it. Anyway I didn’t get to enjoy the cookies with the coffee. I should’ve gone out to BDC, I guess.
One day left to the new term.
