Sunny.

I went to the bed three o’clock last night， intending to wake up at 9. Six hours are long enough to sleep， but when I got up， it was twelve. I sleep like a baby in these days. I don’t know it is good or bad.

In Manhattan， there is a branch of Book-off， the Japanese secondhand bookstore. Today I dropped by there after lunch. I was not going to buy books， but when I went out of the store， I was folding six books in my hands. I bought an English textbook， an essay， and some novels. Novels cost three bucks each in the store， which is not so bad.

Watched “Superman Returns” in the cinema on 42nd. The movie was directed by Bryan Singer (ブライアン・シンガー)， the director of “Usual Suspects”. I didn’t know that until I saw the movie credit. The Usual-Suspect actor， Kevin Spacey was also in the movie.

I liked the movie much. It was much better than I was expecting. If I were in Japan， I even wouldn’t have tried to watch this movie or “X men 3”. Now my negative image of American Hero movies is gone.

“Superman Returns” has some qualities of comedy， compared with “X men” or “Spiderman”. Audience kept laughing during the show， and they clapped hands at the end， which shows it is a good movie， doesn’t it? I clapped my hands as well. It was a well made entertainment.

I can’t stop humming the theme music by John Williams.
