12月23日 イッツビーンアハードデイズナイト?

Sunny.
Went to East Village to have some drinks with my ESL friend Sohee and his friends. Japanese. Korean, Italian, American, many people from many countries gathered. We went to a Yakitori place. I’d not eaten Yakitori since I came here, so I was so excited. The taste was so-so, though. East Village is a kind of Japanese town, but I think there is no decent Japanese restaurant.
Sohee and I were talking about the movie “Memories of a Geisha” a lot. He doesn’t like that, because of the director’s misunderstandings and the terrible text. In addition, few Japanese actresses are acting. Sohee said the most of the Japanese actresses took the audition, but they failed, because of their English skills, it is pity. And he also said Chinese actresses have more punches in their acting. I think it is true, I could feel watching the movie.
Sohee is Korean-Japanese, and he is a professional actor. He is acting under his real name, which is not very common. In Japanese show business, there are so many Korean-Japanese entertainers, but they do not come out. I think you will get surprised if I told you who are Korean-Japanese.
Sohee’s accepted his identity, however, so I think he has more power in his mind. I haven’t seen his work, and I have got to check. I can see many skilled actors on TV or in movies, but the emotional actors with the destiny, like Sohee, are not easy to find, because the destiny is not what we can learn.
After Yakitori, we went to Karaoke. To tell the truth, I have been sick for this week, so I felt like going back home, but it was rejected. I enjoyed a lot, though. Italian girl seemed so bored and tired, so I was really sorry. We had to take care.
After that, we still went to drink to a Korean food restaurant, oh my god. At that time, 2am, we are just four people! We drunk two kind of Korean alcohol and also ate three different dishes. This place was on Sohee and the other Korean girl who is older than my Japanese friend and me. Thank Korean culture.
